As Women’s History Month comes to a close, FINCA would like to highlight how FINCA subsidiaries around the world showed their support and appreciation for women throughout the month!

FINCA Guatemala hosted a virtual panel titled “Investing in Women: Accelerating Progress” to commemorate International Women’s Day. Their discussions delved into gender disparity, the importance of serving their customers–majority of whom are women, and the significant impact women have in the financial sector. Following the panel, all the women from headquarters gathered for a celebratory event.

FINCA Kosovë organized training sessions to promote women’s development and to enhance their knowledge in business. The participants were given the challenge of creating a comprehensive business plan and the top four plans were awarded tickets to attend the largest event organized in Kosovo for International Women’s Day.

FINCA Uganda Limited (MDI) reaffirmed FINCA’s commitment to empowering women by signing on the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) at the 10th “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” awareness event. The principles present seven steps that businesses and other sectors can take to further empower women.

Women’s empowerment is at the core of FINCA’s mission and by further empowering women through various initiatives, we are one step closer to ending poverty.
