On Friday, March 8th, we had the privilege of hosting a virtual panel titled “Investing in Women: Accelerating Progress” to commemorate International Women’s Day. It was an opportunity to bring together all our colleagues from different branches and reflect on the crucial role of women in the financial sector and our society at large.

We began by acknowledging the significance of this date, which honors women’s struggle for equity and equal opportunities. Our discussion delved into the importance of serving our majority of customers, who are women, and the significant impact they have on the country’s economy and addressing gender disparity.
Distinguished female colleagues shared their experiences and insights on investing in women and how their involvement in the financial sector positively impacts our country. The responses and experiences shared by our panelists reminded us of the value of women’s commitment and dedication in realizing our vision and mission at FINCA Guatemala.

Following the panel, all the women from headquarters gathered for a celebratory event, where we enjoyed each other’s company and had our photos taken to commemorate the occasion.
